Realistic training for hunting dogs in wild boar enclosures

Develop your hunting dog's skills in a controlled and natural environment. Our wild boar enclosures provide the perfect conditions to assess your dog's instincts, behavior and readiness for real hunts. You will quickly see which areas need improvement and how to build your dog's confidence for the season. A dog that learns to handle wild boar correctly contributes to safer and more successful hunts for the entire team.
About our enclosures
We offer two training enclosures with different conditions, which gives you the opportunity to work with your dog in a safe and calm way. All areas are camera-monitored to ensure the safety of both dogs and handlers. Respect your booked time and only train one dog at a time. During our advertised guide days between February and September, our guides are always nearby to help, observe and give feedback if you wish. If necessary, we can also assess and issue certificates according to the Swedish Hunters' Association guidelines. Should an accident occur, the nearest animal hospital is Anicura in Hässleholm. We always recommend that all dogs in training wear a protective vest to avoid injuries.
Wild boar enclosure 1–4
Wild boar enclosures 1–4 are approximately 8 hectares in size and can be divided in half for special occasions if necessary. The enclosure contains at least two wild boars in the 70–80 kilo class. The first part consists of open terrain with elements of sparse birch and a small bog. The second part is classic Skåne beech forest with varying terrain. It is common for people to start here with their young dogs.
Wild boar enclosure 5
Wild boar enclosure 5 is adapted for more experienced dogs. It is 14 hectares in size and consists of dense spruce forest, some marshland and a few ditches and small bodies of water. Here the dogs must actively search to find the wild boars. There are at least two wild boars in the enclosure that are very mobile. Enclosure 5 is suitable for experienced and driven dogs.

Rules of order for the fences

Ingen hundträning får lov att föregås utan att den är betald.

Träningshägnen är kameraövervakade och det accepteras av sällskapet när man öppnar och går in genom grinden.

All träning i hägnet sker på egen risk. Både för hund, hundförare och åskådare! Genom att gå in i hägnet accepteras detta faktum.

Hundar bör bära skyddsväst vid all träning då all träning sker på egen risk.

Vildsvin som skadas under träning kostar vederbörande 6 000 sek inkm (uppdaterat 2024-05-02) och betalas omgående till guiden.

Endast en (1 st) hund får släppas i hägnet åt gången om inget annat kommit överens med guiden.

Dogs that are known or suspected to be working closely and intensively with wild boars must wear muzzles.

A maximum of 60 minutes is included in the fee (45 minutes active work/15 minutes rest). Booking two hours ensures that the wild boar gets 15 minutes between hours.

Training time starts every full hour and ends after 45 minutes. A maximum of 2 dogs registered on the booker may be released during this time.

Abuse of the above rules will be invoiced according to the daily rent below and the party is not welcome back.

Littering in our enclosures is strictly prohibited. What you bring there, you also take home.

Dogs are not allowed to be walked around our barbecue areas unless you pick up after them, and it is also not allowed to throw leftover food around the dining area.

Patrick Sandqvist
Patrik has been hunting since the age of 13 when he accompanied his father out who managed the hunting on several different estates in Skåne. Hunting dogs have always been part of his hunting career. Patrik and his wife have 8 dogs at home, of different hunting dog breeds.

Mattias Persson
Mattias has been hunting with dogs for more than 20 years and has had several good hunting dogs on leash.
For the past 10 years, he has managed the wild boar enclosure together with Patrik and helped many hunters with their dogs in different situations. By following along in the enclosure, we can come up with tips for both dog and dog handler that strengthen and make the dog's job better and more efficient. Often, it is many small things that make the difference between a good and a less good dog/dog handler.

André Johansson
André has had dogs all his life and has worked actively with dogs since 2012. He has been a trained and approved dog instructor since 2020 and runs the company Jakthundsstallet and Andrés Hundägarskola in Trelleborg.
He helps dog owners create motivated, obedient dogs with a focus on basic training and a healthy relationship between dog and handler. An obedient dog is also a safer and better hunting dog – especially when the distance between dog and handler is large.
Jag uppskattar högt det faktum att jag kan träna min hund själv och lära mig att avläsa den i olika situationer utan att bli dömd av en expert bak ryggen. Jag måste ju få en chans att lära mig att jaga vildsvinen med hund utan att känna mig som en dålig hundförare. Nu lär jag mig så sakteliga att läsa hunden och med god stöttning av personligt uppträdande från guiderna vid guide träningarna.
